Role Description:

We are dedicated to empowering our clients to unleash the power of their data and are currently seeking a Lead Delivery Manager to join our Product Management team in our offices in Athens or Thessaloniki, full-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the business gaps in product delivery, creating the required processes to ensure successful releases, calculate and improve the velocity of the development teams and increase the overall efficiency of the product and development functions. In this role, you’ll work with a talented team of Marketers, Engineers, Developers, Data Scientists, and Bioinformaticians to develop state-of-the-art technology products and solutions. Successful candidates should have prior experience in Product Delivery Management and Development.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy a solid, robust, and efficient delivery strategy, with clear organizational roles, processes, and metrics.
  • Oversee and be responsible for the successful delivery of all product features.
  • Identify where there is room for improvement in the full development lifecycle and establish the required processes and procedures to improve organization and efficiency.
  • Be responsible for the coordination of teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of a feature, project, or product.
  • Understand, validate with each cycle, and communicate to management the capabilities of the company’s development.
  • Collect and keep track of risks and issues together to identify owners and mitigation actions.
  • Establish procedures to prevent negative situations and to handle issues with no impact to the business, teams and client relationship.
  • Mentor junior team members, and assist with team training.
  • Set measurable success KPIs for product delivery and report on progress.
  • Champion the function of product delivery management within the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Energy, commitment, a do-er mentality, and a passion to excel. 
  • MS/BS degree in IT, Business, Data Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of prior experience in Product Delivery Management for software products and solutions.
  • Good technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in data science, software development and web technologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver successful products.
  • Experience in setting up a delivery function from scratch in a start-up environment.
  • Experience in scaled-up agile methodology and proven record of successfully growing a delivery team.
  • Experience in organizing large teams and delivering at a group level (multiple big products).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence for recording, monitoring and reporting the delivery progress.
  • Proven experience with agile methodologies and especially Scrum and Kanban. Being an Agile coach is a big plus.
  • Certified practitioner in methodologies for project and program management.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English (verbal/written).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in life science and nutrition.
  • Experience working with data science products and knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Ability to work when necessary, from the head offices in Thessaloniki.
