We are currently seeking a Junior/Mid-level Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic Software Engineering team in Athens or Thessaloniki, full-time. In this role, you will contribute in shaping and building the user experience interface of our cutting-edge software solutions which enable AI in bioinformatics research and innovative advancements. 

* Candidates will be evaluated during the interview process for their corresponding level. 

What your daily life will look like:

  • Write clean and qualitative code for a large-scale web environment.
  • Implement user interface designs that align with the product’s standards. 
  • Update existing features and develop new ones by using technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks (Angular)
  • Identify UI problems and bugs and implement elegant solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for code and components to ensure transparency and smooth knowledge transfer. 
  • Ensure that frontend interfaces perform at high speed and ease of use across different web browsers.
  • Participate and contribute to team’s code-reviews. 
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements to existing FE processes, workflows and technologies
  • Participate and contribute in engineering sessions and team’s internal meetings 
  • Use the version control system Git to branch, merge and manage the FE code. 
  • Participate in our Agile methodologies and track tasks by using confluence and jira. 

What your strengths are:

  • 2+ years of professional working experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Angular or other similar JavaScript framework (React, Vue etc.).
  • Experience with ES6+ and TypeScript.
  • Experience working with CSS preprocessors such as SCSS, Sass, or Less.
  • Experience working with SPAs and using build tools such as webpack.
  • Good  understanding of core web and browser concepts.
  • Experience using a version control system, such as Git, in a professional environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Greek & English.

What is nice to have:

  • Previous working experience in agile software development processes.
  • A BS/MS in Computer Science or any other related field.
  • Familiarity in writing tests (eg. Karma, Jasmine)
